Wooden windows Elite 92 from Sokółka
Energy-saving wooden windows ELITE 92 are a product which is not only a perfect choice for those who want natural, wooden, energy-saving windows, but also one to emphasize the character of every interior. Thanks to modern technological solutions, they will provide comfort, perfect design and excellent functional properties.
The most important technical parameter which defines the energy-saving level is the overall heat transfer coefficient for the entire window. The lower this factor, the less heat 'escapes' from your home. In the case of wooden pine windows of the ELITE 92 line, this coefficient comes to Uw=0,76 W/m2K.
Another, equally important, parameter is the sound insulation level. Depending on the applied glazing unit, it fluctuates between 32 and 40 dB. This index means that in comparison to the outside surroundings, you can hear this much dB less of noise inside.
The best material and modern structure
The wood the windows are made of is subject to very thorough selection. Timber used to make the windows is carefully dried. All anatomical flaws of the wood - such as knots, burls or twisted fibres - are removed.
In the ELITE 92 windows, the sash and frame are 92 mm thick and are made of four layers of wood, with appropriately selected alternate ring pattern. We make windows using mainly pine, meranti or oak wood.
Energy efficiency of the ELITE 92 wooden windows results also from their modern construction. An innovative solution is to use 2 groove gasket, an edge gasket, and a gasket on the contact surface between the thermal drip cap and the window frame. The latter prevents both cold air and precipitation water from permeating between the sash and the window frame.

Fittings
Winkhaus Fittings
The windows are equipped with fittings of the renown Winkhaus brand:
- Multi-point lock with micro-tilt and anti-burglar catch in windows with tilt and turn sash (UR),
- side-hinged in windows with side-hinged sash (R),
- tilting in windows with tilting sash (U),
- HAU TAU lock, allowing to tilt the upper sash from the floor level (UZ) in windows intended for public buildings.
Additional functions of the fittings
Handle rotation interlock with skid
It enforces proper window operation, i.e. prevents a window sash from being tilted when the window is open, as well as guarantees smooth transition of the sash from open to closed position.
Multi-step window tilting mechanism
It enables regulation of airing intensity. You can choose one of four positions of tilted sash. This solution is particularly useful in such rooms as kitchen, bathroom, bedroom.
Window opening limiter
It eliminates the hazard of an open window hitting the frame or edge of the window recess during strong wind.
Balcony latch
It prevents open balcony door from hitting the frame in the case of draught or strong wind. Going out on the balcony, it suffices to close the door - by pulling a special handle - the latch will hold the leaf in the frame.
Panes
Windows ELITE 92 are in standard version equipped with double glazing units, with low emission glass and argon-filled space between the panes. Heat transfer coefficient Us = 0,5 W/m 2K, sound insulation Rw = 32dB.
Additional functions of the fittings
Low-emission panes
The low emission glass decreases the temperature of the inside pane, which makes the room warm even at low outdoor temperatures. In the Sokółka Okna i Drzwi S.A. windows, this solution is used by default.
The heat transfer coefficient for such glazing unit is Us=0,5 W/m2K
Available types of panes
Absorptive panes
Absorptive panes - Antisol - decrease effects of sunrays, while providing splendid thermal insulation. They are recommended to be installed on southern and south-western facades of buildings.
Antiburglar panes
The anti-burglar panes are used when special protection of life, health or property is required. The external pane consists of two glued panels, between which several layers of antiburglar foil are placed.
Safety panes
They prevent injuries in the case of breaking the pane. They are characterized by increased impact strength. They are recommended to be used in sports halls, offices, commercial facilities, public buildings.
Sound absorbing panes
Sound insulation is ability to muffle noise. Increased sound absorbing power means muffling of noise by at least 38 dB. Windows equipped with glazing units with increased sound insulation are recommended for buildings situated near roads, airports, railway tracks, etc.
Reflexive panes
Reflexive (mirror) panes decrease effects of sunrays, and the mirroring effect protects privacy of the inhabitants.
Mullions
Optionally, the windows can be equipped with one of three types of mullions:
Ventilators
At your request, windows can be equipped with ventilators, which:
- regulate airflow proportionally to the relative humidity in the room,
- protect against mould,
- limit thermal losses, decreasing costs of heating,
- provide healthy, natural air inside the room,
- automatically optimize stream of the incoming air, depending on the ventilation needs,
- are functional in every climate, do not require power supply,
- are easy to fit on windows and on vertical blinds cartridges,
- are easy to maintain and aesthetic.
In respect of the principle of operation, we distinguish:
- Hygro-controlled ventilators (e.g. Aereco: EHA, EMM) - automatically controlled. The air flow stream depends on the steam content (relative humidity) inside the room, i.e. on air contamination resulting from the performed actions, such as washing, cooking, drying, etc. The control sensor is polyamide tape, which upon change in the relative air humidity changes its length, which causes smaller or greater opening of the damper, this letting more or less air into the room. The ventilators operate within the range of 35 to 70% relative humidity. If humidity in the room is lower or equal 35%, the ventilator is shut and minimum amount of air gets into the room. With increase in humidity, the ventilator opens and at 70% or more, it reaches maximum capacity.

- pressure ventilators (e.g. Aereco AMO) – self-regulating. Amount of supplied air depends on the difference between pressure inside and outside the room.

- manually-controlled ventilators (e.g. Ventair) - the user regulates the opening of the ventilator, thus adjusting quantity of supplied air. Position of the ventilator damper is changed manually.
